UploadPic Mod installed
Until now images uploaded by users to the forums were hosted at an external image hosting service, postimage.org. However recently we have received complaints that adult advertising was being displayed with those images, even for children oriented forums. Therefore we had taken the decision to implement the UploadPic Mod.
With this great Mod you will be able tu upload your images to your own forum space. That means no more relying on external services.
Admins can decide who is able to upload in the forum, jpg quality for resized pictures and maximum image dimensions. All images will automatically be resized to meet the admin parameters. He can also choose to allow users to have their own album.
Currently this Mod is in a beta stage, meaning limited availability. It is not available in all languages, as well as in all styles. Currently SubSilver and Morpheus users can take advantage of it. Also users in the following languages will be able to use it: English, French, German, Dutch, Swedish, Danish and Arabic. We will be adding more styles and languages as testing results are satisfactory.
One final note. Forums registered after September 29th, 2007 will include the necessary database updates for this mod to work. All other forums will need the admin to trigger the update. Please go to your Admin Control Panel and on the left menu, search for UploadPic, then, at the bottom, install. Just go ahead and install it by following the instructions. You need this be done only once.
